Disappear the tertiary ref tags, that is (at zoom 12). Secondaries 
disappear at zoom 11, primaries and trunks at 10, and all refs are gone 
at zoom 9. Of course, at any zoom level, it doesn't try to put shields 
in where they won't fit.
