This seems to have been taken from
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/TIGER_to_OSM_Attribute_Map
What annoys me about that page (a lot, actually) is that there is no
clarity as to whether this is the *actual* mapping used. The page
states:
"It is not clear whether this page matches exactly with the scripts
that were run in 2007 and 2008, but those interested can view the Ruby
scripts linked on the TIGER 2005 page, located here."
Before I do all that, maybe there's someone here who can clarify?
There's also https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/TIGER_2005 which
links there (under 'See Also') describing this page as 'the attribute
mapping that may have been used'.
