I have to say, my gut feeling would be to let them spend the money on
what it is intended for and not try and divert the funds to something
which, while important, doesn't quite fit the bill.
Particularly because the both our operations and those of companies and
organisation in the OSM ecosystem will benefit from the intended
improvements in any case.
