How 'old' is 'old'? They have BW stuff taken from Civil War balloons.
These? https://lta.cr.usgs.gov/DOQs and https://lta.cr.usgs.gov/NAPP
Supposedly via Earth Explorer, but your mileage may vary. I have had better
luck usually through state archives.
One way is through USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service The
Geospatial Data Gateway (GDG)
at http://datagateway.nrcs.usda.gov/ , from the right, for instance, 'Order
by County/Counties' <http://datagateway.nrcs.usda.gov/GDGOrder.aspx>
gives:
WHAT
Here are the available map layers for your selected area of interest.
Ortho Imagery
Digital Ortho County Mosaic of 7.5' quads by NRCS, 1 map 921.436 MB
2004 National Ag. Imagery Program Mosaic, 1 map 47.008 MB
2005 National Ag. Imagery Program Mosaic, 1 map 245.845 MB
2006 National Ag. Imagery Program Mosaic, 1 map 1908.170 MB
2009 National Ag. Imagery Program Mosaic, 1 map 1837.978 MB
2011 National Ag. Imagery Program Mosaic, 1 map 1837.755 MB

Easier to answer if one knows your specific intent or analysis task.
