Thanks for the help.  I did a little presentation this past summer at MaptimeMSP focused on the building import I’ve been messing around with, which I really need to make happen this year.  But I did mention some of these other layers that are available.  Obviously, not all the OSMers in the area were in attendance, so reminders and spreading the word to others is always appreciated.

Joe,
Thanks for letting us know about Dakota County's data. Ideally someone from the area will step forward to use the data. A lot of us, in the US at least, believe an import can help build a community. It's is important that we have a community in place to help maintain the data once it's imported. I don't know if we have an active OSM community in the area, but I believe there is a Maptime Twin Cities, MaptimeMSP. I'll pass the information to them.
