"CDPs are statistical equivalents of incorporated places and represent
unincorporated communities that do not have a legally defined boundary or
an active, functioning governmental structure" -

Designated Places"

These polygons do not have any official or legal meaning, so they should
not be imported as administrative boundaries.

Census Designated Places are only defined by the Census for their own
convenience.

They do not represent a verifiable geometry that can be mapped in
OpenStreetMap
