[OSM-Talk-ZA] South African Map Providers

Hi Guys,

Am I missing something or are there really ONLY 3 major digital map 
providers in SA?

- MapIT (aka MapStudio, aka Garmap?, aka Teleatlas, aka TomTom)
- Navteq? (aka BMW, aka Land Rover)
- Chief Directorate : Survey and Mapping
(Is it true that their data does not contain the majority of street names?)

Have I missed anyone?

Where do Brabys source their data? Anyone know? Self created?

I have not included Tracks4Africa in the above list, as they have poor 
street level coverage and I would not (yet) classify them as a major 
digital map provider.
