I'll buy that. I think we should experiment with the Landsat-7 data,
and see what we can come up with, and then, having found techniques
that more or less work, we should consider raising funds to get some
IKONOS data to play with.

There's an image processing package called pymorph that looks
promising for automated feature extraction:

However, perhaps we can play with that GTk+ app that was posted here
earlier as well, and see which approach yields the most immediate
results. I plan to spend some time on this during the upcoming week.
