On the one hand simple image tiles are useful for the end user, but
complete crap for editing. I had thought an applet would be the way to
go for editing, but people (open source programmers) hate java.
Matt was thinking of an application sitting locally on your machine that
you'd use. I think this is completely broken as you want to people to
just be able to edit things off the bat - downloading random
applications will put a lot of people off.
So as a least worst solution, I'm guessing applet. But at the very least
the thing can be app-neutral.
Ideas?
As for the TIGER definitions, I got the impression they were evolved
rather than designed and arn't neccesarily the way to go... is that the
case?
