well, both yes and no. At the open geodata forum last week, Giles Lane
talked about a Creative Commons derived license which he was proposing
to the OS for nonprofit use. It is very liberal - basically an
attribution sharealike clone with prdocut references, from what i can
make out - and i'd be interested in using an adaptation of it to
license our work, to help give it weight / make a point.

What's the advantage over a regular flavoured CC license? i really
couldn't say...

I mentioned during my talk on Thursday's panel that I'd recently
proposed a Non-Profit, Non-Commercial Creative Commons-style license
to
the Ordnance Survey as a model they might like to consider
investigating for providing free public access to their GIS data.

Rufus has posted a copy of the document on the Open GeoData page for
people to download -- I hope this is useful in stimulating  further
discussion:
