I took the liberty to commit this change to svn, even though it was
addressed to Steve, as Steve is busy with exams.

The patch look quite correct and like a step in the right direction.
It might be an idea to make a function to check the limits, but that
will have to wait for later.

We will have to wait for Steve to set the new version into production
before this will actually solve your problem.  Is this problem
reported into bugzilla?  In that case, please add a comment to
document that the patch is commited to svn.
