[Openstreetmap] Reasonable success with a Garmin etrex in bus and car

i've had good results on a bus (sitting in the middle, single-decker), 
on an intercity train and on the roof of a car (my unit is magnetic).

unfortunately, i've also had terrible results in a bus, train and car!

it seems to vary a lot depending on the surroundings, speed, etc...
