The license for these files is still open for debate. The plan is to
release the with the license finally selected by the OSM project, but
for now I just wrote CC on them.

Right. I assume you already found mine at
<URL:http://developer.skolelinux.no/~pere/gis/openstreetmap/data/>.

There is no license info in the files, and in that case I would guess
the default from the authors rights law take effect. How can users of
your file know these will files are placed in the public domain if it
isn't written in the files? I thought the concept didn't really exist
in Sweden, as the legal system was fairly compatible with ours in
Norway. How do you make sure these files are placed in the public
domain for Sweden?
