You can already see existing points of interest in osm-editor (just select
the "Download OSM" option and all OSM data in the currently-displayed area
will be fetched), and you can also add new ones (they're currently referred
to as "waypoints" in osm-editor though I'm intending to change the
terminology). You can't edit them yet, but this is on the "to do" list. :-)
