Remember that some paper map manufacturers (as exmaple "Falk GmbH" in
Germany) distort their maps. They stretch areas that are more important
and diminish other less important areas.

You can see that if you take a closer look at those small blue, red or
black lines that indicate the miles (in german "Kilometerlinien"). They
are not straight but curved ;-)


So if drawing vector maps from paper maps (additional to copyright
problems), you have to keep an eye on this..
