I've heard from a source who's been testing a number of bluetooth GPS's 
that the best chipset for urban areas is RFMD, then SirfStar III, then 
NEMERIX.

One thing it might be good to do on the IoW trip is to test a few 
different chipsets/devices against each other in different environments.
