[OSM-talk] Which track logging software

Thinking about NMEA files, obviously we could lower the entry barrier a bit
for some users if NMEA format files could be converted to GPX by the server
rather than being converted by the user to GPX before they upload. The
process of taking a log file and converting it to GPX is fine for those who
wish to spend the time obtaining and learning GPSBabel but it is an
additional hurdle for getting trackpoint data into OSM which could be
eliminated if the GPSBabel engine was running on the server. Obviously other
file formats in addition to NMEA could be covered in the same way. It would
also be a good way of spitting problem files back to the GPSBabel crew to
see why they did not convert.

Cheers

Andy
