These are raster maps right?
How recent are they? The sample on the site (Rosedale, MS) is dated 1972.
I have a copy of Bright Angel, AZ which is dated 1962, but I bought that
some years ago.
Would it be possible to create a WMS server for these, in place of, or in
addition to, the LANDSAT imagery for the US? If it were hosted locally it
couldn't be slower than LANDSAT could it?
There are 56,000 maps so I assume it would take some amount of effort to
stitch them. The sample has a white border and is not square on the page.
