[OSM-talk] Tag translation

I was wondering if WiktionaryZ might be a useful resource for OSM:

http://www.wiktionaryz.org

They have most of the features we use already translated into most European
languages and published under the GNU FDL.

for example:
Lock:
http://www.wiktionaryz.org/index.php?title=DefinedMeaning:lock_%286547%29

Church:
http://www.wiktionaryz.org/index.php?title=DefinedMeaning:church_%28587%29

Motorway:
http://www.wiktionaryz.org/index.php?title=DefinedMeaning:motorway_%282420%29

Railway Station:
http://www.wiktionaryz.org/index.php?title=DefinedMeaning:railway_station_%284507%29

The code numbers at the end of defined meanings are fixed - which might help
make OSM tagging more multilingual.

i.e if:
highway=path

could be written:
1771=4382
or
highway=4382

Just a thought.
