Incidentally, can you expand on your "data is of mixed quality" comment?
Is there something the project should be addressing here?

Well I'm currently one of the top contributors to the Osmarender layer
in the slippy map, and I can say the data is of mixed quality,
timescale-wise, because the tiles are rendered at the Zoom=12 level by
the tiles at home clients. the tiles at lower zooms, covering bigger areas
are updated infrequently by the osmathome.bandnet.org server itself.
