Do you mean those times when the GPS is absolutely, positively sure that
while you were cycling down a street in London, you suddenly went 600km/h
to a spot in Switzerland, when you continued to cycle up a glacier, and then
went 600km/h back to London, when you continued to cycle along the street
you were actually going along?

It would be quite easy to get something to parse a GPX file for impossible
speeds or changes in location, and stop the import at that point.

The other issue is that if you just blindly create nodes and streets in
the database from your waypoints, someone else may have already done some
of those streets, leaving you with duplicates in the database.
