it should:
- be ~100 times faster
- not block imi's Home Line
- and didn't when i just checked
- and the resulting Filed works here

Starting josm with
josm.sh --download=9.218987008334574,54.92888950726784,9.366540639553373,54.98622270017084
works for me. Even the area has no data in it.
PS.: I corrected the 5498622270017084 to 54.98xxx
