How major an issue is the lack of bandwidth. I may be able to make some 
queries about hosting a box full of (say) large images. There would be 
political issues (from my POV, and from the people who I'd ask) if lots 
of people needed to log into this for example, and probably issues with 
it existing at all, but if i'm able to help then trying to argue this 
corner might help the project.
I appreciate it's large, but what sort of scale is the current usage?
