I gave it a go, and ran into a segfault when I started the problem.
Had to do 'make clean' to get rid of it.  I guess the build rules are
a bit shaky...

But the crash bug seem to be fixed now, after I rebuilt everything.  I
can no longer reproduce it by enabling lansat and pressing 'zoom out'
several times.  Great.  Thank you.
