Ah, you are right.  I am not so used to UTF-8 characters so I did not
recognize an å when it was in UTF-8.

And I know how to do it in Perl :-)

I started reading the Ruby book and i had not realized that it was
written by the same persons that wrote _The Pragmatic Programmer_
which is a very good book.  Ruby semms to have the properties that
makes Perl a fun programming language and some things was as you
pointed out very Perlish.
