[OSM-talk] Map Features tagging question

I haven't tagged the roads in Islington much, as I haven't been sure
about best practice - and now I'm more confused! Shouldn't we agree on
best practice, at least on a per-country basis, before too much work
is done??

Also, is there any way I can tag ways /en masse/ in josm or other
program? i.e. there's a whole load of streets round here that need
tagging with highway=unclassifed/minor/whatever, and
abutters=residential, etc..

p.s. JOSM should have drop down boxes / check buttons / etc to select
the commonest tags, and a text box to write the name, as it is tedious
at the moment.
