Some genetic software able to understand the ironic meanings of several 
petabytes of different  tags on year 2100 ? :)))
I may tag all the place where i meet a girl :)) and other peoples could want 
in doing the same, if someone want to create a density map we have to share 
the same tag system!

if someone rename them,  etienne rendering tools will break and etienne will 
ask you to rollback changes :)

I think we need rigid structures on a very well defined namespace for 
rendering/routeplanning.. STOP!...  and the total freedom on the "default" or 
alternatives namespaces.
Josm, osmarender, osmeditor, osmviewer, and other tools already base their 
rendering engine on some "de facto" standards.
I think you do not want someone enter your preferred area and breaks all your 
work adopting a strange, creative, beautiful tagging system colliding 
with "de facto" system...  :)
