Wardriving and scooping unsuspecting peoples IP traffic is mutually 
exclusive. The first is a hobby, in the like of the favourite british 
hobby of Trainspotting, while the latter is a criminal offence.

Wardriving has nothing whatsoever to do with connecting and using other 
peoples network connections. Equalizing Wardriving with bandwith theft 
and illegal network access, is another case of the media getting things 
wrong.

Do a google search for "Stumbler code of ethics" and read BlackWave's 
definition of the word "wardriving", which IMHO is the most precise 
definition around on the subject :
