Not if that data is stored in a database and used to auto-generate 
configuration files for whichever renderer you are using (with filters for 
the way types or languages you're interested in rendering)

You're not suggesting we stick with the current system of defining map 
features on the wiki, then manually editing osmarender.xsl to get the tags we 
want to render in the colours we like?
