Hello,

I have several GPX traces of Italian roads to upload to OSM.

I tried to mechanize the upload with a Perl script, using the
LWP::UserAgent library, but with no success.

I can mechanize the login with cookie handling, but when I upload
a GPX file larger than a few kb, I got this error page:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<html><head>
<title>500 Internal Server Error</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Internal Server Error</h1>
<p>The server encountered an internal error or
misconfiguration and was unable to complete
your request.</p>
<p>Please contact the server administrator,
steve at asklater.com and inform them of the time the error
occurred,
and anything you might have done that may have
caused the error.</p>
<p>More information about this error may be available
in the server error log.</p>
</body></html>

The upload occurred from my IP 88.38.109.50,
at 2006-06-05 20:59 UTC circa.

Does somebody tried something similar?

Is there an API for GPX upload to be used inseted of mechanizing
the HTTP pages?

Thank you very much.
