Do you have the script available for others to poke at?  Such script
would be an important part of an automatic GPS point collector I have
been wishing for a long time.  I want a black box with a GPS and a
wifi connection, able to detect and remember open wireless networks,
and use the open wifi networks to submit data automatically to
openstreetmap when the GPS reports a very low speed. :)
