[OSM-talk] Aylesbury: Getting Tracks to Appear

Guy,

You are right that not being able to see your new tracks on the edit screen
is a show stopper. It's a big turn off if they are not there and something
we need to work on top ensure it does not happen or is at least better
documented. Zooming in with a fresh implementation of the browser/java
applet often fixes the issue, although cache issues may still limit what
shows up.

There is also another generally guaranteed way and that is to use JOSM if
you are able. JOSM allows you to edit the gpx offline separately from the
file being uploaded. You can also download the same data (gpx data) from the
OSM server so your data in the gpx file that you uploaded is visible
immediately the gpx file was imported to the db (when the red "pending" note
goes - normally within 15mins of upload).

Hope this helps & welcome to OSM :-)

Cheers,

Andy
