There is a saying all PR is good PR, I don't see the harm in
advertising the forum in the footers. Just because the "experienced"
crowd that prefers mailinglist loathes webforums doesn't mean you have
to refrain from advertising it..
But you are right lets stop this dicussion and just add: "you can
also discuss OSM on our webforums" in the footers of the mails...
