I agree, there was an open and agreed process.  It would be irregular
to re-open nominations after the start of the vote period.

There are plenty of roles that need to be filled so anyone who wants
to help out will be welcomed.  One of the main points of getting
organised is to spread the workload so that Steve has more time and
OSM can move forward faster.
