In any case the data could be extracted from the DB using the API anyway?

Well, I would need to start with the GPS tracks, and these needs to be put
into the database. And after this all the changes I make should also be
put into the database. But I don't need the OSM database data. :)

Very nice, thanks. :) However the stand-alone script for the applet does
not seem to work directly... So before I start setting up my own server I
guess I should try to make this work...

:-) No, I just need fast access to the data, that's all... :)
