Good idea, but...

Not true.  Speaking as an 'old user' I have to say that you're right
that recent energy has not been focused on the end user experience.
That doesn't mean that people aren't aware of the frustrations.  For
instance I just submitted a ticket about the usability of the traces
pages - it was the first time I'd used them!

This is true too.  I just wish you kept your diary in blog software so
I could properly track it and link to it - wiki is too ephemeral and
the 'recent changes' feed for wiki.openstreetmap.org is now
unmanagable :(
