+1 for your ticket
I think it's much better to accept data without timestamps if
necessary (though obviously having timestamps would be better) than to
have people think - and I'm guilty of this too - that they have to
make up their own to have OSM accept the data.
For future analysis of data, the odd tracklog lacking timestamp data
will have hardly any effect on the overall outcome of that analysis.
Fake data on the other hand would mess it up completely unless it was
easily filtered (=~1970 or so).
