The latter, and only because a couple of people mentioned that there are
laws saying you can't retrospectively become a member or deemed to be,
there has to be an act to make youself as such. Theerfore I can't just
say eveyone on the mailing list are automatic members. That would solve
much.

Yeah, just those three. From what I remember and the wiki page there
were lots of other positions to be considered and I'd expect they'd be
put out for adoption/voting rapidly once the board or whatever it'll be
called decide on them.
