I got myself an Olympus VN-480PC voice recorder, 40 pounds from Argos
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6700751.htm
which comes with a clip mike and upload of WAV files to PC. I was hoping to
sync the recording with the track times, but that didn't work so well, and
my heavy breathing on a bike and background noise were all a bit
overhwelming, so I'm now pausing and restarting manuall just to take audio
notes. The sound activated recording isn't any good in a noisy street
environment (which would be the ideal, as I don't really want to have to be
pressing buttons whle riding).
The main advantage I think is that it avoids keep stopping and startng,
which is slow and was killing my knees.
