[OSM-talk] osm2kml.py

I took a look at
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Slippy_Map#python_script and
realised that while it is completely useless for loading large OSM files
in to Databases, it did provide a good basis for a script I've been
meaning to write that lets you look at OSM data in Google Earth. This is
particularly useful in countries that don't have NavTech or other maps
in Google Earth.

The results are at http://www.arjam.net/osm2kml.py. Put osm from the API
on standard in and you get kml (for Google Earth) on standard out. It's
just a beta - it's got lots of Slippy Map code in still that it doesn't
need, but it basically functions.

Can this go in the OSM SVN repository somewhere?

Thanks,

Robert (Jamie) Munro
