I meant the GPS traces when you stumble across them in JOSM or whatever
would confuse people, not the final tracks. The final tracks would
certainly be annoying - having huge diagonal lines crossing cities that
don't connect to anything.

Please don't do it. By all means keep the tracks, and maybe we can do
something with them later, but not now. OSM has too many things that
need prioritising before we start worrying about flights etc.
