Glad to hear Rutland event went well. I'd like to now confirm the date
for possibly the final mapping weekend of the year. This is the second New
Forest event, to be held on November 4th/5th, with the aim of furthering
the efforts begun in September. This time there will be rather more focus
on the north and west of the Forest, particularly in some of the old
woodland which should be particularly attractive in a couple of weeks'
time with the leaves already turning now.

Meeting place will be the same as last time, though with the clocks
changing it might be an idea to go for an earlier start, meet at 9.30 and
get mapping by 10, then lunch around 1 and afternoon mapping finishing
around 5.

Being fireworks weekend there should be a local display to go to on
Saturday night if people are up for that.

If you're interested sign up on the wiki page at:

Again, space for two (at a push, three) people to sleep on my floor. IIRC
one person has said yes already.

Nick
