[OSM-talk] A plea for those editing in "busy" areas, esp. Rutland just now

Hi,

Just a quick plea now after a lively IRC discussion (I'll try and put this on
the wiki tomorrow so all can see the issues involved). This is especially
important for people busy editing in Rutland...

Please, please make sure you *always* download just before uploading. It seems
that some uploading is happening without downloading and checking for conflicts,
which means that data is getting screwed up.

More seriously, my data is getting screwed up, which makes me unhappy :-(. If we
can all download immediately (and resolve conflicts) before uploading then I
won't have to waste another evening correcting all the problems. ;-)

Oh, and apart for the bits that are messed up, Rutland is looking fantastic!
