[OSM-talk] Case sensitivity of osmarender, tagging places, and which tags to use

Hi,
I've been creating a fair amount of new ways and places, and naming
them where possible. Yay.
1)
However, when I tag them, I tend to go with JOSM's default names for
the tags, which leaves me with something like "Name=Midhurst,
Place=town".... which is fine until I come to render the map with
osmarender via xmlstar -- the names aren't rendered because the tags'
keys are uppercase. If I change it to "name=Midhurst, place=town" it
gets drawn correctly.
Of course, I've only just realised this, so there'll be some
ways/nodes that I've created (and I've now got no idea which ones they
are) with the uppercase keys.
Does (should) case matter? Which case should they be in?
I looked through the osmarender tips section, but couldn't see an
obvious answer.
2)
I've added some pubs etc. Is there a recognised tag for a telephone
number? (this could be quite handy for something like a restaurant)
3)
Is there a recognised tag for a campsite? (Telephone number would be
handy here too).
cheers
jack
