BTW how did you get my home postcode? Is the freethepostcode data in there 
already?

What I'd *really* like to do with this is to overlay OSM footpath data on 
them (i.e. anything with highway=footway|bridleway|cycleway|unsurfaced) so 
that they can be used as a useful resource for UK walkers; in many 
countryside areas, the New Popular Edition maps are still good enough for 
navigational purposes, and show useful things like contours, vegetation 
and feature names.

I wouldn't do this by downloading all the tiles; instead I was thinking of 
linking to your data source and layering the OSM data on top. It looks 
like I'd need to take your JavaScript and hack it slightly to do this... 
are you happy with this?

What would also be good (don't know how amenable your server would be to 
this) is to put the whole thing in a slippy map. Apparently OpenLayers can 
do this for any projection, including OSGB, so this should be possible.
