[OSM-talk] NMEA altitude versa barometric altitude

Hello GP-Mappers,

I am a novice on this list and intend to help out collecting data in 
Hamburg (Germany) because your project is so appealing.
As I don't process a GPS-device yet, I am thinking about one which can 
log the altitude as well.

a) do you store data from 'altitude'?
b) can you display the 'altitude'?
c) do you accept only GPS data for altitude?
d) do you accept barometric measures?

I intend to use it in Hamburg which is close to sea level but we have 
some hills here,  up to unbelievable 91,6 meters and even more!
Your answer has a direct impact on my selection of the device.
