reality, this simply would last to long. Let's go josm; done.

I think that's the issue. Because I'm developing Freemap (and now planet is weekly, am motivated to do much more on Freemap) and have volunteered to help out on Potlatch, not to mention attempting to map all the footpaths of South Hampshire and all the roads in Southampton, I myself probably won't have the time to develop osmeditor2 so that it's on a par usability-wise with JOSM. By contrast, adding the key osmeditor2 features to JOSM won't take too long - I shouldn't think - particularly as I have already figured the algorithms out, it's just a case of converting from C++ to Java and understanding the JOSM internal architecture.
