Argh, tonight didn't work out expected so I haven't had a chance to do
anything on the design, and it's probably the last chance I would have
had until next week. I think Richard's design covered much of what I
was thinking though.

I'd like to pull in the latest events from Erik's iCal to fill that
upcoming events section. It'd be nice to also somewhere show either a
list of towns that have been updated recently, or show some map
snippets of those places.

I think we definately need something to emphasise it's a global
project - and perhaps the 'OpenStreetMap in your country' selector
does just that job without taking up too much space.
