FF1.5/Linux renders the page perfectly for standard font size, but
Konqueror 3.5.4 has some minor problems: 
- "view the map" is connected to the bottom grey area 
- "edit the map" has around 3px distance 
- "get involved" around 8px spacing.

They are all aligned at the top with correct margin to the top grey area.

Using a smaller font size, the boxes are all of the same height, but have
no margin at the bottom.

Both browsers do not keep the boxes at the same height for larger font
sizes. I do not know how to achieve uniform height, sorry. It's not that
important, though.

It is indeed better to keep the search box the way it is now.
