Current draft (http://higgy.bandnet.org/openstreetmap/draft-index3.html)
now has all links working. Also a little bit of JS to clear the search
text box (doesn't seem to work in IE - any ideas?).
The search box does work. Is that behaviour OK?
I'm not sure where the image under 'edit the map' should point to. The
'Editing' wiki page or directly to the online editor? Same with the
'online editor' link.

OK, I've increased the default height of the boxes so they should be
more uniform in Konqueror at the expense of a bit of blank space at the
bottom of each of box.
I guess it comes down to whether they should all be the same size for a
minority of browser users or whether they shouldn't have too much extra
space in them for the rest of the world.

I think the problem is in using floats to set them side by side and how
the browsers handle them differently.

I don't know either. For default font sizes I've set a minimum height
(fixed height for IE but it doesn't seem to increase the font size
properly anyway, at least in IE6.0). As the font size increases, so do
the box heights.
Cheers,
Tom.
